Flying since 1991.
Sun Air began in 1981 and has flown since 1991, first as Air West, the first privately held airline in Sudan to fly internationally. In 2008 Air West became Sun Air Aviation, and scheduled passenger services grew across Sudan and the region.
Before that, our aircraft flew for the United Nations, the Red Cross, UNICEF, the World Food Programme and the African Union. That history is the airline you board today.
